Short-term training activity in Madrid, Spain

“The Museum Mediator as an integrator of diversity” within the framework of the Unlock project took place between October 11 and 15, 2021.

The content of the course was very complex. The 1st day of the course “Museum Mediator as Diversity Integrator” focused on 3D printing to make cultural heritage accessible to visually impaired. Then the experience of FabLab was shared to the participants.

Then the project continued with guided visits at the La Casa Encendida and on the streets of Madrid, Plaza Lavapies, Plaza Nelson Mandela. It was explained the history of the artistic project dedicated to immigrants

The basics of digital crowdfunding for cultural heritage professionals were also shared at the Junta Municipal de Retiro.

A visit at the Archeaological Museum from Madrid offered to the cultural professionals some examples of good practice about the different inclusive museum experiences, especially the visually impaired.

The ONCE organization of Madrid shared their experience in coping with disability (visual impairment) and finding ways of societal inclusion, both through technique and through art.
