During 19-23 July 2021, project partners’ teams will meet in Berlin for participating in the short-term training activity coordinated by weltgewandt. Institut für Interkulturelle Politische Bildung. “Empowering (young) refugees in museum environments” will be a course designed for learning how to build empathy in cultural contexts starting from the “luggage” of memories refugees bring with them when forced to relocate. They do not move out of happiness but because life is too harsh with them, so they have to search for better options. How do we manage to approach them? to interact with them, to integrate them? These are questions still not fully answered, worldwide. This course aims at showing the value of cultural memories, and the way such empowerment can help create better integration contexts.
